Destination Somewhere

The Beginning of Something Amazing

So in my previous posts I’ve been told that they seem more like my journal entries more than an informative blog. So my response is: I feel that traveling is more about the adventure of getting to the destination, more than the destination itself. Although, of course there are many reasons for wanting to go to these great locations, I am a very spontaneous person and like going places on a whim. Not too much planning and really not too much money either. And for me that makes it fun; like sleeping on a bus just to have a warm place to stay. Some people might think that’s crazy but for me it’s part of the experience. I like to get out of the ordinary and experience things like no one has before. Anyone, with enough money, can book a hotel with all the amenities and book private tours that run on meticulously planned timetables with every activity dictated. Standing like a drone in a crowd, moving when they tell you to move, going the places they chose for maximum efficiency, “To get the most out of your experience.” blah, blah blah… Mooo! No that’s not for me.

I am a little more unorthodox. I took a 2 day bike trip with a tent and a target. I told myself I’m going to get to this campground. It took 7 hours biking there, and I mean pedaling not motorcycle, and all I had to do was follow the signs. I didn’t have a map. I didn’t use a navigation device, just followed the bike trail signs and hope I would make it. Now the easy part was that there was a river I was following but that’s beside the point. I’m just saying I like to make my adventures because there are just some things that you cannot plan for.

So for my future entries of course I will talk about where I ended up but the greatest part of the story will be how I got there. As always keep traveling and always carry a camera, you never know what it might capture.

Very respectfully and thanks for reading,

-Abraham.
